About

Patient education by a UK pharmacy team.

The Farmeci Blog is written and clinically reviewed by Farmeci's UK GPhC-registered pharmacists and independent prescribers. Our mission is to explain conditions and medications in plain English — so you can have a better conversation with your clinician.

Our editorial principles

Every article on this blog follows the same editorial standard:

Regulatory framework

Farmeci is a UK pharmacy registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Our content operates within UK MHRA rules on the advertising of medicines to the public, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) CAP Code, and the GPhC's standards for pharmacy professionals. We do not advertise prescription-only medicines to the public.

How we cover topics

Articles are assigned to a clinician with relevant experience: weight and GLP-related topics are typically reviewed by Yousef Yaghoubi or Trishla Shah; women's health by Hannah Araim or Michelle Chuku; men's health and erectile dysfunction by Yousef Yaghoubi or Alex Tivadar; STI and sexual health by Zaynab Ali or Michelle Chuku; skin and hair by Hannah Araim or Alex Tivadar; and general wellbeing by Yvonne Lim.

How a Farmeci consultation works

Articles end with a call to action to book a free online consultation. A UK-registered clinician reviews the patient's answers and medical history, and decides whether treatment is appropriate. If treatment is approved, dispensing is handled by Farmeci's GPhC-registered pharmacy team. The consultation is free; patients only pay if they proceed with an approved treatment.
